Volunteer Vacancies

We are looking for an Arts and Crafts volunteer to help out at our Friday craft sessions. If you are interested in arts and crafts and would like to pass along your skills to others, get in touch with our Volunteer Officer, Niamh, who will send you an application form.

 

The role will include the following duties:

 

•      Preparing the equipment and materials for the craft session.

•      Setting up the room, moving tables and chairs if necessary.

•      Finding new crafts and ideas for the sessions.

•      Liaising with staff to make sure materials are purchased.

•      Creating a warm and friendly environment.

•      Explaining instructions for the craft to attendees.

•      Helping people where needed.

•      Tidying away the materials and equipment at the end of the session.

 

We are open to different types of crafts, using paper, paint, clay, yarn, etc, and we would like sessions to be creative, inclusive, and welcoming.

We also have vacancies for our Connecting Communities Befriending Service - a service whereby volunteers spend 2 hours a week with a cared-for person with low level needs, simply for companionship and to allow the carer a short break.
