Dementia Carefree Days: Mindfulness Retreat
Spend the day with Nordic Shield and staff from Carers Link Lancashire learning guided practices of mindfulness, relaxation and breathing techniques, take a walk in the grounds next to the River Calder, and end the day in the beautiful Great Ancient Hall with an immersive sound bath blending ancient Norse instruments and elemental rhythms inspired by the ocean. There will be time to reflect and discuss, how this can work on mind and body connection to help with anxiety, stress, worry, overthinking, burnout, menopause symptoms and general wellbeing and how this impacts on our mental and physical health.
Now more than ever is time for self care. The retreat will be a day of rest, slowing down and practising simple but beautiful meditation techniques to calm mind and body in the stunning surroundings of a ruinous 13th Century Cistercian abbey.
Please bring a mat, blanket, warm comfy clothes, and a cushion.
